The coronavirus is here in Maine and is already greating changes to activities throughout the State. In light of the of the cancellation announcements across the country and the news conference of Governor Mills a decision has been made to cancel the Colonial New England Boiled Dinner scheduled for this 14 March 2020. This is done with heavy hearts because of the planning and hard work that everyone has done for the weekend. This is, hopefully, not the end of the dinner. It is planned at this time to try and hold the dinner later in the year, after we see how the situation plays out.
It is hoped to find a new calendar date for the dinner. The scope and support may change but it is still a great event to host at the Legion. Hearty thanks, on behalf the Williams-Brazier Post 37, Social Activities Committee and Post Commander to our three partners in this endeavor, the Thomaston Historical Society, the General Henry Knox Museum and the Lady Knox Chapter of the D.A.R.
