Henry Knox is still going to sing after 270 years, but his debut will be somewhat delayed. The new Knox musical, Count Me In, planned as the Watts Hall Community Players’ summer production, will be postponed until it is safe for the volunteer cast to practice and for crowds to gather.
Watts Hall Community Players still looks forward to sharing this new production with the community as its contribution to the Maine Bicentennial celebration. It is hoped that auditions can be held in May, most likely virtually, and when the COVID-19 crisis has abated, rehearsals and production plans will proceed with caution when it is safe to do so. Certainly, it is impossible to make concrete plans at this stage of our isolation, but potential cast members are asked to watch for audition notices in early May and start thinking creatively about virtual rehearsals.
