“Dressing the New Republic - Authentic American Costumes from 1775 to 1805" written and illustrated by Julie Stackpole, is the basis of the program being given on the evening of June 9th at the Thomaston Historical Society located at 80 Knox Street, just north of the railroad tracks. Julie Stackpole is a noted costumer and artist whose detailed drawings cover the dress of people for the elite, middle and working classes during the Revolution and early Federal period of American history.

Prior to the start of this program there will be a short annual meeting of the society members during which voting will take place for nominated board members beginning at 7 P.M. The program will begin after the meeting, certainly by 7:30 P.M.
